Computer Lab
Our Computer Science department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities designed to support high-level computing and collaborative learning. The dedicated computer lab features 30 high-performance workstations, each powered by an Intel i9 processor and equipped with dual monitors, providing students with the ideal environment for coding, software development, and computational problem-solving.
We fully integrate Microsoft’s suite of digital tools into our teaching. Students use their own tablets for note-taking and completing worksheets, seamlessly syncing their work between tablets and workstations with Microsoft Teams and Class Notebook. This ensures easy access to resources, efficient work distribution, and smooth collaboration between students and teachers.
Whether working on programming projects, algorithmic challenges, or AI applications, our students benefit from a cutting-edge digital ecosystem that enhances both learning and productivity.

Science Labs
Our state-of-the-art science laboratories provide a dynamic environment for hands-on learning in Physics and Chemistry. Each lab is fully equipped with modern apparatus to support the A-level curriculum and inspire scientific exploration.
Our dedicated prep room ensures lessons run smoothly, with a specialist technician on hand to maintain safety and support practical work.

Canteen & Rooftop Terrace
Our top-floor canteen offers a wide selection of Starbucks drinks, ranging from lattes to frappuccinos. Our catering boasts a varied menu of hot & cold food including burgers & wedges and a wrap station. A selection of sweet and savoury snacks are also available.
The canteen opens onto a rooftop social terrace equipped with a living wall and exterior seating, offering students spectacular panoramic views over Preston.

Social Spaces
LUSoM boasts a large variety of student social spaces designed to support their studying and social life.
A small library with an assortment of books and games encourages rest between lessons.
Computer benches spread across the building as well as a dedicated small group room support open and collaborative learning between students.

Auditorium
Our 400-seater capacity auditorium allows LUSoM students to benefit from university-style lectures, guest speaker & industry talks and whole school assemblies.
Retractable seating allows for various activities as part of our extensive outreach programme to take place, including our Talk Maths events and end-of-year Maths Competitions.
