Outreach for Students

LUSoM Extend

This programme is designed for high-ability KS3/KS4 students who have a passion and interest for mathematics and want to go beyond their normal lessons. The sessions will cover material which is not on the GCSE syllabus and will show you some of the incredible uses that mathematics can have once you take it at a higher level.

Meeting once per half term on campus, we will tackle mathematics in completely new contexts and so develop your problem-solving techniques and your breadth of mathematical knowledge

100% of students last year agreed that these sessions helped in developing mathematical thinking, increase the depth of understanding and improved presentation skills.

Capacity is limited so please book early to secure your place

LUSoM Women in STEM Day

This is an opportunity for all female Year 11 pupils (including those who identify as female, and non-binary) to spend the day at LUSoM.

We will be joined by guest speaker Robyn Goldsmith and you will take part in workshops throughout the day. The day will finish with a fun quiz.

This will be based around some of the pioneering women from across the STEM landscape.
