Lancaster University School of Mathematics is a brand new specialised school in the heart of Preston. We have been established to recruit the brightest and most talented 16-19 year old maths pupils from across Lancashire, whatever their background, and bring them into an inclusive community of other exceptional pupils.

LUSoM is a centre of excellence, aiming to share best practices throughout the region, raising achievement and aspirations for all.

LUSoM provides a supportive learning community that promotes outstanding teaching and learning in mathematics. We foster a culture where students have the support to flourish and where staff have the time to work with students individually and to reflect together on how to continuously improve teaching and learning in mathematics.
